I am on the journey of mothering a very spirited 14 month old while 6 months pregnant. I am also on the journey through stage 2 breast cancer, chemo and surgery. Join me as the two overlap and create a story worth sharing!
We have been thinking a lot about you guys lately. You, the musical lumberjack, and the wobbly one. With double Ds and the South of France on the horizon, a beautiful future lies ahead. We wish you the best. Love you guys!
Thank you for all the good energy being sent this way! Andrew ran in to you a few days ago and said he felt so much better after talking to you. He didn’t actually say that, but I could tell he had a special glow about him 🙂 Give me some of whatever you gave him the next time I see you! xoxo
You don’t know me but someone posted something about you on the Laguna Beach Parents Club website and I thought I’d drop in and offer what I can to help….I’m a children/family photographer in town and I’d love to donate a newborn session for your little one when he/she gets here. Or a maternity session, whichever you’d prefer. Would you email me if you have any interest? A session comes with a disc of images, so it’s pretty valuable. I’m sending you positive wavelengths, I can’t imagine what you’re going thru, don’t think too many people can I guess. Best, Gillian Crane
I am overwhelmed in the most wonderful way by the love and generosity that this community has shown to my family! I would absolutely love to take you up on the offer of a newborn session! Thank you so much for reaching out to me and I really appreciate all the good energy. That is a big part of getting through this smiling 🙂 I will email you soon! Much love, Brita
I’ve been thinking of you a lot lately….. it gives me much needed strength to know that I’m not the only one. Wishing you and your family the best and please know that I’m here for you if you need me. Love ya! xoxo Dulc
I am sending you buckets of love and support from this side! I can’t believe our similar situations and feel a comfort in knowing there’s someone out there that gets what I’m going through. Please keep me updated on your health and treatment. You are such a strong woman who could kick anyone’s ass, including cancer!! We can co-write a book together about all this when it’s over 🙂 Love you!
I came across your blog by accident, but have to say that I already read everything and you touched me. I love how positive thinking you are and I have no idea how I would react and deal with this news.
Thank you for sharing with everyone your experience.
Thank you so much for your message! It means so much to me that others can be moved by my journey. It’s been such great therapy to blog about my experience and in return I’ve received such love and support from all corners! Thank you for reading 🙂
I was a couple years behind your wonderful husband at LBHS but have not yet had the pleasure of meeting you. Facebook brought me your story a few weeks back and I was overcome with emotion. I have a two year old son and a 3 month old daughter and I have so much admiration and respect for your outlook on life and the approach you are taking to fight this battle…which you will win!!! Thank you for sharing your story and know that you are an incredible role model to all of us young mothers…with cancer or not. Wishing you all the best.
You are a beautiful spirit with such an amazing attitude towards life. I am blessed by your message of hope and courage. I love you very much and will be sending up prayers every moment I am able. Love you Darlin’, JB
I am a big fan of The Pawnshop Kings. I noticed they did a fundraiser for you last night. It is so awesome when friends and family come to your rescue. I could not have done it without a support network. I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and Her 2/Neu to boot 10 months ago. I have had a mastectomy, chemo and just went through my first reconstruction surgery a few days ago. You have an amazing spirit and will kick this thing in the ass I assure you. I also blog about my adventures in breast cancer at http://www.theyesmom.com. I would love to meet you, maybe at the next Pawnshop King show. Sending you many healing vibes. Deanne
Reading your blog almost brought me to tears. You are the definition of a Strong Woman and I am keeping you and your beautiful blossoming family in my thoughts and prayers! Tony and I saw Andrew the other weekend, but we had no clue about all that was going on with you. Hugs and Kisses your way! Keep on keeping on! You are such an inspiration!
Your blog was sent to me by a friend, and it sounds so much like my journey!. I have stage IV BC with lung mets (diagnosed in May) and just turned 41. I am being treated at St. Josephs Cancer Center in Orange. I live in San Juan Capistrano not too far from South Coast Farms where I also get my CSA baskets! Yay CSA baskets!!! Anyways, I wanted to say hello to a fellow Breast Cancer Sister and let you know I will put you in my prayers. Stay as strong as you can, and when you can’t, lean on those who love you.
Love and best wishes,
San Juan Capistrano
